Ford to put Sync smartphone apps in more models

Ford will extend its Sync in-vehicle smartphone applications to a wider group of cars in its 2012 model line, the automaker said this week, naming the Fusion sedan, the F-150 pickup and the Expedition SUV as those that will feature the option. "Mobile app growth is literally skyrocketing," said Mark Fields, president of Ford operations in North America and South America. "This is a trend that we cannot ignore."
