"Green" Cincinnati comes to forefront during USGBC conference

Cincinnati, as host of the U.S. Green Building Council's Greening the Heartland conference, gets to show off its greenness. The city has one of the first commercial net-zero energy retrofits, a solar array on its zoo and a sewer district focused on finding sustainable ways separate sewer runoff from storm water. "Ohio is on the cutting edge of what hopefully will become normal activity," says Myron Rivers, executive director of the USGBC's Cincinnati chapter.
