Advertising spending from the 100 Leading National Advertisers rose 4.4% last year to reach $108.6 billion, according to Ad Age data. Microsoft increased spending the most -- by 61% -- to reach $1.8 billion, and was one of 39 brands to spend more than a billion dollars.
