SEC's White wants transparency in fixed-income pricing

Mary Jo White, head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, says she has told staff members to draft a rule that would require public disclosure of best prices in markets for corporate and municipal bonds. "This potentially transformative change would broaden access to pricing information that today is available only to select parties," she said.
