Chicago to unveil major school reform plan

Tomorrow, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and schools chief Arne Duncan plan to unveil details of an ambitious plan to create more than 100 new schools by 2010. The reform proposal will break up larger schools into smaller, specialized ones, with roughly one-third of the new schools to become charter schools, one-third to be managed by a contractor, and one-third to be controlled by the school district.
