Report: Pay-per-call ads to reach $1.4B

Pay-per-call advertising, the practice of marketers paying for telephone queries from potential customers that resulted from text ads on major search engines, will be a $1.4 billion business by 2009, The Kelsey Group predicts. Pay-per-call ads typically are used by local businesses on local-themed sites and Internet Yellow Pages.
