Is "Mad Men" true to its era?

The AMC show "Mad Men" chronicles life at a fictional Manhattan ad agency in the early 1960s through a fog of cigarette smoke, but is producer Matthew Weiner's vision of long lunches and extramarital affairs accurate? Legendary art director George Lois says no: "The creative revolution was the name of the game. This show gives you the impression it was all three-martini lunches." However, the show's milieu feels familiar to Jerry Della Femina, who said, "'Mad Men' accurately reflects what went on. The smoking, the prejudice and the bigotry."
