Wisconsin to implement shared-access EHR

The building of a record database for 2.5 million patients is under way in Wisconsin. It will give more than 1,000 providers in the northern and central part of the state shared access to patient EHRs. Gov. Jim Doyle said, "This is an important step forward in our efforts to reduce medical errors, increase patient safety and decrease health care costs."
