The director of West Virginia's Wheeling-Ohio County Airport welcomed AOPA President Craig Fuller on Monday, ticking off the names of six U.S. presidents who have touched down at the general aviation facility. Open for more than 60 years, the airport saw 50,000 flight operations last year. "As more and more national businesses place franchise stores in the Wheeling area, our airport ensures easy access for corporate executives," Thomas Tominack explained to Fuller. "We are also used heavily by coal executives and by high-profile entertainers who are performing in Wheeling." As home to multiple business, flight schools and military personnel, the airport offers more than 300 full- and part-time jobs, Tominack said.
