Obesity, early menopause heighten endometrial cancer risk

Obesity significantly increases a woman's risk of getting endometrial cancer, especially if she enters menopause early, according to a CDC study. Women with a BMI over 35 who were under age 45 at menopause had a 22-times higher risk for endometrial cancers than normal-weight women. Researchers said a lack of progesterone likely was behind the increased risk.
