Adult diabetes may signal higher risk for liver disease

Adults with newly diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes have a higher risk of developing liver cirrhosis, liver failure or requiring a transplant, Canadian researchers reported. They said the reason may be that people who get diabetes also have gradual liver damage from the buildup of liver fat.
