Device group speaks out against FDA's pediatric data requirement

The FDA's proposal to require medical device makers to submit data about the potential uses of devices in pediatric subpopulations would alter the purpose of its device regulations and pose problems for companies, according to AdvaMed. The new requirement is part of the agency's plan to amend the rules on premarket approval.
