Florida horse tests positive for Eastern equine encephalitis

A horse in Jackson County, Fla., has been confirmed infected with Eastern equine encephalitis, a virus transmitted by mosquitoes to humans and animals. County health officials urged residents to take precaution, and efforts to control mosquitoes in the area have been increased.
