Hotels aim to cut housekeeping services to save money

Hotels are getting more creative in offering guests limited housekeeping options, partly to help cut costs and partly to promote green practices. At Best Western, guests are asked to specify whether they want no service, limited service or a full clean. And Omni Hotels offers a limited housekeeping option. At the Marmara Manhattan Hotel, guests who opt to go without housekeeping for three days are offered a "green rate" of a $20-a-night discount.
