The House voted in favor of legislation that would extend the National Flood Insurance Program until Sept. 30. But a "meaningful reform" is needed for the program, which covers almost 5.5 million property owners across the country, said PCI President David Sampson. "We need a long-term, sustainable solution to the flood program," Sampson said in a statement. "But for now, we need to immediately help homeowners who are preparing for hurricane season and severe summer weather," he explained.
