Parvovirus vaccine could prevent costly treatment

A veterinarian in Lakeport, Calif., says she has seen an increase in the number of pets infected with parvovirus, a viral disease that can prove lethal to canines. Dogs may contract the virus by sniffing or eating the feces of an infected animal, but it can be prevented with a vaccine, she says.
