Poor food choices link childhood cavities to obesity

A small study found 28% of children ages 2 to 5 treated for dental cavities also had a body mass index showing they were overweight or obese. Researchers said the study shows that poor nutrition and food choices may link obesity and tooth decay and that the dentist's office could be a good place to educate families about nutrition.
