Report: Third-party Android apps may expose private information

One-fifth of third-party Android applications on the market can access users' personal information, while 5% can independently make phone calls and 2% can send text messages, according to a report from SMobile Systems, which notes users must give the apps permission to perform these tasks when they are downloaded.
