Weight gain after 50 is seen as raising diabetes risk

A study indicates that people who gain significant weight after age 50 are nearly three times as likely to develop Type 2 diabetes. Researchers reviewed data on about 4,200 people older than 65 and also found a relationship between increasing waist circumference and higher diabetes risk.
