CEA examines performance of TV, tablet and camera markets

TV sales will be down slightly from last year even though plasma TVs and 3DTVs have outperformed expectations, said Shawn DuBravac, chief economist and research director of CEA, at CEA Line Shows. CEA now predicts that tablet PC sales will be 7 million units higher than originally projected. Meanwhile, the digital camera market has continued to grow despite the emergence of smartphones that have the ability to take higher-quality pictures than ever before, DuBravac said.
