Lawmakers question CFPB about auto loan guidelines

House Republicans have sent a letter to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau asking the agency to explain its analysis behind guidelines for new fair lending for auto lenders. The lawmakers want to know how the CFPB determines borrower backgrounds and pricing discrepancies. The agency is asked to respond within a month.
