Starbucks agrees to pay more in UK corporate tax

Starbucks will forgo some allowable deductions and pay about £10 million in UK corporation tax this year and another £10 million next year, despite the fact that the coffee giant's UK operations remain unprofitable, the company said. The move comes after a year of increasing government pressure and hearings to determine whether Starbucks, Amazon and other major companies are paying their share of UK taxes.
