Top tech pay going to chiefs; tech support paid the least

A compensation report from Mondo reveals IT leaders are getting the most money these days while tech support staff are being paid the least. Some roles are primed for big salary boosts given increasing demand, including HTML5 developers. Overall U.S. IT salaries are on a growth path, said Mondo founder and CEO Michael Kirven. "The trends that I'm seeing today are very, very optimistic," he said, noting that corporate marketing divisions are increasingly hiring more IT staff.
