Drama course builds literacy, confidence for Ind. students

Eighth-graders at an Indiana school learned about drama while building literacy skills and confidence through a weekly class co-taught by a local actor and their English teacher. Developed through a partnership with a local theater company, the course culminated in a play -- written and performed by the students -- about the transition to high school and reflections on past transitions.
