Social media's value to brands is evolving, report finds

As businesses grow more skeptical about the pursuit of sheer numbers of followers in social media, they're shifting to strategies that emphasize quality over quantity, according to a Gallup report. Some brands are using social media less to market themselves and more to listen to fans and adjust their products and services accordingly, it found.
