Food Safety Could Move To Homeland Security

A dozen federal agencies that oversee food safety may be merged under the Department of Homeland Security, the Bush administration said June 20. In his first testimony before Congress, Director of Homeland Security Tom Ridge said combining all food agencies may be possible in the future, reports say.
