Seattle's Cognitive Abilities Test misses the mark

A test administered to all first-graders in the Seattle School District failed to identify more black, Hispanic or American Indian students for advanced-learning programs. Since nearly all of the top performers on the exam were white and Asian, the district will seek an alternative methods of diversifying the programs.
