Holiday Inn brand begins sweeping changes

The Holiday Inn that will open this week in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood is one of the first in the U.S. to feature the modernized version of the traditional Holiday Inn sign, which, along with sweeping decor changes, will be seen throughout the chain by 2010. The changes are part of a $1 billion Holiday Inn makeover that InterContinental Hotels Group launched last year.
