Many industries, including chemical companies, are pushing lawmakers to open up future energy supplies. "Trade associations that were not involved in energy have been increasingly focused on the need to take control of future energy supplies by supporting domestic production," said Paul Cicio, president of the Industrial Energy Consumers of America. The group was formed to expand drilling and boost natural gas supplies.
