Nortel's GSM, core switch units still on table

The sale of Nortel Networks' largest wireless unit still leaves its GSM radio and switching divisions on the block, note industry observers who see the $1.5-billion-a-year GSM business as a particularly attractive asset. On another Nortel front, Avaya is on the verge of paying the bankrupt gear maker $500 million for its enterprise business, according to a published report.
