Sales of existing homes post small improvement:

For the second consecutive month, sales of previously owned homes increased, but the improvement was less than expected, further fueling fears of a slow, weak recovery for the economy as a whole. "There is a danger that the recent surge in mortgage rates will snuff out a recovery before it even begins," said Paul Dales, an economist at Capital Economics.
