More real estate bargains are turning up in 363 sales

Distressed real estate opportunities are growing as more firms sell properties through 363 sales -- a portion of the bankruptcy code that allows for properties to trade free of liens. "The 363 sale is one of the remedies available to creditors as the industry rebounds," says John Kavill of Jones Lang LaSalle. "We've seen a few sales and expect to see an increase in numbers this year."
