RIM moves to entice more developers to its App World

Research in Motion has launched an ambitious effort to attract more developers to write software for the BlackBerry's App World market, which contains 7,000 applications, a fraction of what can be found at iPhone's App Store, according to a published report. Developers have complained of the complexities involved in writing BlackBerry apps.
