Vanguard aims to launch 19 ETFs that have a mutual fund companion

Mutual fund giant Vanguard filed with securities regulators to launch 19 exchange-traded funds, all available either in the form of a mutual fund or as an exchange-traded fund. The plan includes an ETF version of its popular Standard & Poor's 500 index mutual fund. The ETFs are targeted to individual retail investors, while the mutual funds are tailored to institutions and financial advisers.
