Border-security amendment on immigration clears Senate procedural vote

A proposal to toughen border-security measures in the Senate's immigration bill has been allowed to move forward after a 67-27 procedural vote. The Corker-Hoeven amendment would require five security "triggers" before granting citizenship to current undocumented residents. The bill's supporters hope to have final approval on the measure this week.
