Calif. district partners with free, summer lunch program

The San Luis Coastal Unified School District in California is partnering for the first time this year with the Lovin' Lunchbox program, which provides free lunches to students over the summer. The program -- administered by the Food Bank with federal funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture -- was first piloted in San Luis Obispo County four years ago, and has expanded to 15 sites countywide this year.
