Coating would allow sensors to be swallowed

Researchers at Ohio State University have come up with an aluminum oxide coating for silicon sensors that would allow such sensors to be swallowed by people for medical monitoring. With such protection, the silicon-based devices could work for up to 24 hours inside the body, it was said.
