Going green shouldn't be simply a matter of strategy but should also include getting employees on board with the effort, writes Brent Hardy, who manages sustainability programs for Extra Space Storage in Santa Monica, Calif. Tracking progress on energy-saving efforts and naming a green team of employees will heighten consciousness, and offering small incentives for employees' own environmentally friendly efforts can be a powerful incentive.
