Food, drink-makers seek natural preservatives

Food and drink makers are looking to natural preservatives, a trend that does not seem to be fading, said Gary Augustine, executive director of market development for Kalsec, which makes preservatives with rosemary extract. "One in four new products being developed has some type of a natural claim associated with it," he said. "One of the most popular categories is no additives and preservatives."
