Gay consumers are more likely to recommend brands, survey shows

Almost two-thirds of gay men and women say they would recommend a brand they like to a friend, according to a survey from Community Marketing. Many brands such as JetBlue and Budweiser are working to cater to the LGBT market as data show gay households have higher median incomes and are more likely than the average U.S. consumer to spread the word about products they enjoy, this article says. JetBlue recently posted to its company blog a thank-you note from a gay couple who flew the airline to New York to get married.
