How should districts measure the value of education technology?

It is important for school leaders to measure the value of classroom technology, but its worth should be determined by its educational return -- not its financial one, asserts Keith R. Krueger, CEO of the Consortium for School Networking. While oftentimes technology leaders -- faced with shrinking budgets -- are asked to show the return on the investment in technology, what officials should be asking is for them to demonstrate the "value of investment," he writes.
