Montreal school wins concrete canoe competition

Montreal-based École de Technologie Supérieure took the top spot in the National Concrete Canoe competition run by the American Society of Civil Engineers and sponsored by the American Concrete Institute and others. Twenty-three teams with 10 or more members competed in the race after spending much of the academic year designing the canoe and devising a concrete that would be lighter than water.
