NASA: Asteroid study mission could protect Earth

Snagging an asteroid in space to study it in lunar orbit could help scientists learn more about asteroids that could strike earth, NASA says. The capture program is part of a larger effort to find ways to deflect dangerous asteroids and to send astronauts to an asteroid to study it.
