Preroll may be behind Facebook's Instagram video length

The 15-second video format settled upon for Instagram video on Facebook may have been determined by the standard length of preroll video ads, writes John Koetsier. A 15-second video ad format is also coming to Facebook's news feeds later this year. "This is driven by the fact that video is the premium online ad model today. Video commands the most revenue, drives the highest CPMs and monetizes the best," says Jun Group CEO Mitchell Reichgut.
