TreeHouse offers $35M for Cains Foods

Non-dairy creamer and pickle maker TreeHouse Foods will pay $35 million in cash for Cains Foods. The acquisition of the dressing and sauce maker is expected to close in 30 days. Cains sells products under the Naturally Delicious and Olde Cape Cod brand names. "Cains will be a great fit within the TreeHouse family, rounding out our industry leading assortment of private label pourable and spoonable dressings," said TreeHouse CEO Sam K. Reed.
