Study shows difficulty in estimating workout intensity

Most adults exercising on a treadmill correctly identified light effort but underestimated how much added intensity would be needed to push their workout to a moderate or intense level, Canadian researchers reported. Also, only 24% of study participants correctly gauged how much to increase their pace to what would be considered a brisk walk, while the rest walked too slowly to earn workout status.
