Survey: Social media isn't a big influence on purchase decisions

Just 5% of Americans say social media has a great influence of their purchases, and nearly two-thirds say social media has no influence whatsoever on what they buy, according to a Gallup survey. Millennials are only slightly more likely than other generations to say they're swayed by social media, the survey showed.
