House GOP attempts to undo COOL legislation

Rep. Henry Bonilla, R-Texas, opposes the mandatory country-of-origin labeling for meat products, describing it as "a controversial, difficult issue." The Grocery Manufacturers of America, the National Pork Producers, the American Meat Institute and the Food Marketing Institute have shown support to repeal the measure. Those who support COOL, such as Rep. Marcy Kaptur, D-Ohio, says consumers have the right to know where their food comes from.
