Aging ATC system will make summer travel tough on passengers

The nation's air traffic control system was established more than 40 years ago, and there is widespread agreement that it needs to be replaced with modern, satellite-based technology. At present, "It's a system that only a mother could love," says Darrell Jenkins, an aviation professor at Ohio State University. Summer travelers should expect delays, officials say.
