Religion-based travel on the rise

Travel agents, analysts and religion-based Web sites say more people of a variety of faiths are taking religion-based vacations and visiting sites with religious significance. "Perhaps the most important reason is that people are increasingly interested in experiencing their faith through more than just reading or singing," said Todd M. Johnson, director of the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
